Driver FAQ
What do I need to become a Waly Market driver?
You must be at least 18 years old, have a valid government-issued ID or driver's license, pass a background check, and have a smartphone. If you deliver by car or motorcycle, you'll also need valid vehicle registration and insurance.
What vehicles can I use?
Car, bike, or motorcycle. You choose how you deliver, and you can register more than one vehicle and switch between them.
How much can I earn?
You earn base pay for every delivery, plus 100% of your tips, plus bonuses like peak-hour boosts and delivery challenges. You can see exactly how your pay is calculated for every delivery in the app.
When do I get paid?
You can cash out instantly to your debit card anytime (small fee applies), or receive a free weekly deposit to your bank account. Your tips are always 100% yours.
Do I have a schedule or a boss?
No. You go online whenever you want and go offline whenever you want. No shifts, no minimum hours, no boss.
How does the sign-up process work?
Download the Waly Market Driver app, create your account, upload your documents (ID or license, and vehicle documents if applicable), take a selfie for verification, and consent to a background check. Most applications are reviewed within 3 to 7 days.
What will I be delivering?
Food from restaurants, groceries, items from international markets, and retail products. You can set which order types you prefer in the app.
How do deliveries work?
When an order is offered, you see the estimated pay, pickup location, and drop-off distance before you accept. The app guides you to the store and then to the customer, with navigation through Google Maps or Apple Maps.
What is proof of delivery?
For “leave at the door” orders, you take a quick photo in the app when you drop off the order. The photo protects you from false claims and lets the customer know their order arrived.
Is there support if something goes wrong?
Yes. The app includes in-app support, a report-a-problem option for every delivery, and a safety toolkit with emergency contact sharing, trip sharing, and quick access to 911.
Am I an employee of Waly Market?
No. Drivers are independent contractors. You'll receive a 1099 form for tax season, and the app gives you a mileage summary and annual earnings statement to make taxes easier.
Can I refer other drivers?
Yes. You get a personal referral code in the app, and you earn a bonus when someone you refer completes their qualifying deliveries.
