Community Guidelines

Last updated:

Waly Market connects customers, local stores, and drivers from every culture and community. These guidelines keep the Platform safe, respectful, and fair for everyone. They apply to all users: customers, store partners, drivers, and their staff.

1. Respect Everyone

  • Treat everyone with courtesy: no harassment, threats, hate speech, or abusive language;
  • No discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any protected characteristic;
  • Respect people's property when picking up or delivering orders.

2. Keep Everyone Safe

  • No violence or threats of violence, ever;
  • Drivers must follow traffic laws and deliver sober;
  • No unwanted contact: use in-app communication for order matters only, and do not contact other users after an order is complete;
  • Report safety incidents immediately through the app's safety tools.

3. Be Honest

  • No fraud: fake orders, false refund claims, stolen payment methods, or identity misrepresentation;
  • Reviews must reflect real experiences. No fake reviews, paid reviews, or review manipulation;
  • Stores must describe products accurately with truthful photos and prices;
  • Drivers must complete deliveries honestly and take required proof-of-delivery photos truthfully;
  • Do not share, buy, sell, or transfer accounts.

4. For Store Partners

  • Maintain required licenses, permits, and food safety standards;
  • Keep menus, prices, and stock accurate;
  • Prepare orders with care and package food safely;
  • Provide restroom access to drivers picking up orders where required by law.

5. For Drivers

  • Keep your documents current (license, insurance, registration);
  • Use insulated bags for food deliveries and handle orders with care;
  • Follow customer hand-off preferences and take the proof photo for leave-at-door deliveries;
  • Only use vehicles you have registered on your account.

6. For Customers

  • Provide accurate addresses and be reachable during delivery;
  • Treat drivers and store staff with respect;
  • Report problems honestly.

7. Enforcement

Violations may lead to warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent deactivation, depending on severity. Serious violations (violence, fraud, discrimination, safety threats) may result in immediate deactivation and reports to law enforcement. Our Deactivation Policy describes the process and how to appeal a decision.
