Merchant Conduct Standards

1. Lawful operation

Merchants must maintain required licenses, permits, registrations, and lawful business operations.

2. Honest listings

Merchants must provide accurate descriptions, prices, availability, hours, product information, and material disclosures. Merchants may not intentionally mislead customers or manipulate Waly Market systems.

3. Safety and quality

Merchants must maintain appropriate food, product, packaging, storage, labeling, and recall practices and must not knowingly provide unsafe products.

4. Respectful conduct

Harassment, threats, discrimination, retaliation, or abusive conduct toward customers, drivers, Waly Market personnel, or other merchants is prohibited.

5. Fraud

Merchants may not create fake orders, manipulate sales, abuse promotions, falsify records, misuse customer information, or engage in payment or refund fraud.

6. Driver access

Merchants must provide reasonable pickup access and comply with applicable delivery-worker protections, including NYC bathroom-access requirements where applicable.

7. Enforcement

Violations may result in warnings, listing restrictions, product removal, payout holds where lawful, suspension, termination, or referral to appropriate authorities depending on severity and circumstances.
